Dent & Scratch Repair for Hermitage Drivers

Hermitage sits at the eastern edge of Davidson County along I-40, and drivers from here bring hail, dent and bumper repairs to our Foster Ave shop.

Hood of a grey car covered in small round hail dents

Hermitage mixes suburban neighborhoods with busy commercial stretches along Old Hickory Boulevard and Lebanon Pike, and much of the commuter traffic heads into Nashville on I-40. Cars here are often parked in open driveways and large retail lots rather than garages, which leaves them exposed when spring storms bring hail across Middle Tennessee.

Hail typically leaves dozens of shallow, round dents on the hood, roof and trunk lid. When the paint survives intact, paintless dent repair can remove many of them without any repainting.

Hermitage to south Nashville

From Hermitage, take I-40 west toward downtown, then I-440 west, and follow local streets to Foster Ave. Old Hickory Boulevard connects most Hermitage neighborhoods to I-40.

After a hailstorm

Wait for a dry day and look at the car in indirect light, or at an angle to a reflection: hail dents show up as small ripples in the reflection. Then send photos of each panel, including the roof if you can safely reach it.

Frequently asked questions

Can every hail dent be fixed with PDR?

No. Very large dents, sharp creases or dents with cracked paint may need filler and paint. Most small to medium hail dents are good PDR candidates.

Should I drive my hail-damaged car to the shop?

Usually yes, if lights, mirrors and the view out are unaffected. If anything that affects safe driving is damaged, deal with that first.

Dent, scratch or collision damage?

Send a few photos of the damage with your estimate request, or call the shop to talk it through.
